Private sector activity expanded slightly at the end of the first quarter, driven by growth in both the manufacturing and service sectors. Any reading below 50 suggests contraction, while a score above 50 indicates expansion in the sector. Similarly, the services business activity index climbed to 50.3 in March from 47.8 in the preceding month.
