Spot Market Update: Jeera Export Demand Hopes Supported On Weak INR

Ready demand has thinned in Jeera as supplies stay elevated in major Jeera mandies and traders are eying further increase in arrivals in coming weeks. Sentiments have been dominated recently by a spurt in Jeera acreage in Gujarat. Supplies are picking up. The spot prices are currently trading at Rs 15900 per quintal, up 0.30% on the day. Jeera supplies in Unjha stayed around 25000 bags today after coming in around 30000 bags in last week. A weak undertone in Indian Rupee is keeping the export demand hopes supported.
