Commodities Buzz: Ukraine Grain Exports Reaches 34 Million Tonnes So Far In 2018

Noteworthy, almost 36.9 million tonnes of grain, in particular 15.6 million tonnes of wheat (including 10 million tonnes of food-grade wheat and over 5.5 million tonnes of fodder wheat), 5.1 million tonnes of barley, and 15.7 million tonnes of maize were exported in the same period in the 2016-2017 MY.

In the current marketing year, more than 4.6 million tonnes of oilseeds was exported. The exports included over 2.1 million tonnes of rapeseed and over 2.5 million tonnes of soybeans. As of April 24, 2017, oilseeds exports totaled almost 3.9 million tonnes (including over 1 million tonnes of rapeseed and almost 2.7 million tonnes of soybeans). As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian agribusinesses in 2016-2017 MY exported 43.8 million tonnes of grain, which was a record high over Ukraines independence.
