Economic Buzz: Japan Industrial Production Continues To Pick Up Slowly

Industrial production in Japan edged up 1.2% on month in March, following the 2% gain in February, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) said on Friday. On a yearly basis, industrial production jumped 2.2% – up from 1.6% in the previous month. Upon the release of the data, the METI maintained its assessment of industrial production, saying that it is picking up slowly.
