German retail trade turnover dropped by real 0.6 percent month-on-month in March, bigger than the revised 0.2 percent decrease in February, figures from Destatis revealed Monday. This was the fourth consecutive decrease in sales. Sales were expected to grow 0.8 percent in March. On a yearly basis, retail sales growth held steady at 1.3 percent in March. The pace of growth was weaker than the expected 1.6 percent.
