Economic Buzz: India GDP Expands By 7.7% In Q4

According to data released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) on Thursday, Indias Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 7.7 per cent in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2017-18, faster than the revised 7 percent expansion seen a quarter ago. Indias economic growth accelerated more than expected in the March quarter. The overall faster growth was driven by a 4.5 percent rise in agriculture, a 9.1 percent rise in manufacturing and 11.5 percent surge in construction. In the fiscal year 2017-2018, the economy advanced 6.7 percent from the same period of last year.
