Agri Buzz: Domestic Pepper Prices Stay Lax

Except in Indonesia and China, the world Pepper market was relatively stable during the week with an increase of 1% reported for India black pepper. At the beginning of the week the price of pepper in Kochi, India increased near Rs 370 per Kg but edged up amid thin inquiries. The minimum import price (MIP) on pepper fixed by the Union commerce ministry as Rs 500 has not helped the sentiments much. Market in Vietnam was vibrant with a high level of export activity given the comfortable output position.
