According to current information of the State Statistics Committee, sunseed inventories in Ukraine totaled 2652.7 KMT as of May 1, 2018 that is down 10.3% from the same date last year (2958.8 KMT). This included 1184.8 KMT kept on farms (down 376.8 KMT, or 24.1% on the year) and 1467.9 KMT kept by storage companies and crushers (down 70.7 KMT, or 5%).
As of May 1, 2018, crusher stocks of soybeans were down 18.6% on the year at 273.4 KMT (335.8 KMT as of May 1, 2017). At the same time, rapeseed inventories were more than twice as high as last year, at 50.4 KMT versus 22.8 KMT available as of May 1, 2017.Russian growers held 1188.7 KMT of oilseeds as of May 1, 2018. This was 100.7 KMT (7.8%) less than as of the same date last year (1289.4 KMT).
