Mentha oil falls in futures trade on profit-booking, easing demand

NEW DELHI: Mentha oil price declined in futures trade on Tuesday as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amid easing demand in the spot market.

Around 11:05 am, MCX Mentha oil was at Rs 1,583.20 per kg, down by 0.47 per cent.

Speculators trimmed positions in mentha futures, triggered by muted demand from consuming industries at the spot market and adequate stocks on higher supplies from the major producing regions.

As per the brokerage Geojit Financial Services, a fall below Rs 1,580 in mentha oil futures may call for Rs 1,540 or more.
