Silver futures drop on subdued demand

New Delhi: Silver futures on Friday dropped by Rs 279 to Rs 59,350 per kg as participants reduced their bets on low demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for December delivery tumbled by Rs 279, or 0.47 per cent, to Rs 59,350 per kg in a business turnover of 15,778 lots.

Silver traded lower by 0.45 per cent at USD 23.27 per ounce in New York.
